You can renew your driving license in India up to one year before it expires and up to one year after, and there is a 30-day grace period after the expiration date for renewal.
You don't need to pay a late fine during this grace period, but you will need to retake the driving test if you apply after the grace period.
You may also need to retake the test if you are 50 or older, or if you have a medical condition.

Rs. 200 for 1st Year after Licence Expiration The applicant would have to apply for ReTest and Revalid, If the Driving Licence has expired more than a year ago.
